In the book

Today Melissa turned in her final information to be included in the Arts Council catalog.  This is set up for artists to include themselves and then the schools may pick who theywant to come to the school and present.

As a result of writing this book Melissa has been able to come up with an excellent writing workshop for the students to do.  She will cover all of the basics of the writing process, as well as encouraging the students to find the story that is in their heart.

Please feel free to check out the illustration page when you get a chance.  We will be posting some of the various illustrations that will be used in our first book.  So far we have about a third of the illustrations completed and ready to send to the publisher.  We are very pleased with them and we think that you will be too.

Possible great news

We received some great news this morning from the Fayetteville Arts Council.  They are interested in having Melissa participate in the August Fourth Friday.  This is when they close Hay Street downtown and invited artists can set up and present their products, while hundreds of people walk around and check everything out.. 

The best part of this is that August is especially set up for authors and they are considering placing Melissa next to a special someone who has written a military themed book, that has a current TV show based on it.
